Masters of Commerce or M.Com is a post graduate level course ideal for candidates who wish to make a
career in banking financial services and insurance (BFSI) as well as accounting
and commerce sectors. The two-year course scrabble about the functioning
of the economy, capital, revenue, trade, taxes, etc. taught in B.Com (Bachelors
of Commerce).
Since M.Com.
is a specialized area in itself, only those candidates who have pursued B.Com.
or B.Com (Honours), can pursue it. M.Com is also a good option for CA/CS
candidates. However, not many CA/CS aspirants pursue M.Com as CA/CS courses can
be pursued after Class 12.
M.Com is most popular
among aspiring teachers/lecturers and researchers. UGC-NET / JRF and
Ph.D. are among popular options for M.Com degree holders. Admission to M.Com in

Minimum eligibility criteria for M.Com. is a minimum of 50% marks
in aggregate in B.Com or B.Com (Honours) or
equivalent from a recognized university

Some universities also induct students who have completed Economics
(Honours), BBA
(Bachelors of Business Administration), will a minimum score of 60% aggregate
or equivalent

Reserved category students are entitled to marks relaxation of up
to 5%

After passing out, M.Com. pass out students’ can apply for various
government as well as private jobs including taxation, stock market, insurance
and financial planning and advisory, banking, financial services
sales/executives. Also, after completion of M.Com., students can apply for a
